Just found it in the Steam registry, app number 99140 for anyone interested.
Hopefully it appears on the Steam Store soon! |

So hopefully this means that we may also end up seeing Baldur's gate 1, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Planescape:torment and Temple of elemental evil here as well.

Never played it, but I've obviously heard MANY MANY great things about it. Definitely planning on getting it. Any idea on when it's coming?

There's nothing saying when it's coming unfortunately. Could be tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. But given trends of what i've noticed i expect to see it sooner rather than later.

I'm still waiting for the PC versions of FF7 and 8. Someone found appid's for both of those a good while ago but they haven't been "released" yet.

And when they come to steam, there will be much moaning and gnashing of teeth at the price

If Steam is going to support these older titles they have to look into removing their encryption from the exe.
Many older games have a problem with Steam's DRM. Some WS patches and user generated patches will not work with Steam's encryption. (ie KotOR WS support) Steam needs to look into offering DRM free titles. Till then, I feel more comfortable buying older titles on GoG or sometimes Gamersgate. I have over 450 games on Steam and this is the only 'feature' that is beginning to get in the way. Recently, I can not even enjoy the Forged Alliance Forever mod for Supreme Commander FA because of the DRM. |

Well, I played Baldur's gate on GameBoy Advance and for me it was a good game.
btw, the game is available on GOG, so if the price is lower, i will buy it on Steam... |

Although this is nice, I just can't see it being better than the GOG version. At all.
