Fixed "Can't find Steam" But

So the game was doing the "Can't find Steam" problem, then I changed the name of the JadeEmpire and JadeEmpireLauncher files, exited Steam and then the game launched, but when the game launched the resolution is out of whack.
It's zoomed in too far into the corner and I can't see the menu.
I tried launching the Configuration but that freezes. My screen resolutions is 1600x900, lowering it to 800x600 made no difference.

I managed to get into options, and could see the RESOLUTION option, but I pressed enter on it lots and nothing changed.

Maybe someone has a solution, or guide me though the options menu blind.

You need to change it to widescreen before 1600x900 becomes available.

If the options screen in Jade Empire is out of zoom you could also try setting the size in the JadeEmpire.ini before you launch the game:

ScrH=1080
Widescreen=1
