Joystick issues
Bought a Logitech G940 flightstick with rudder and throttle, and the game won't detect any of it. Windows sees the controllers, but configuring it in the game is completely fruitless. tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing, anyone got any ideas?

Are you following the calibration instructions? They are backwards from any other flight sim I think of. Instead of picking an axis and then attaching the controller config, you have to find the active axis and then tell the game what your controller is.
Your joystick should be controller 1, maybe your throttle is controller 2 and your rudders controller 3. Make sure controller 1 is active in the config screen. Then wiggle the joystick. If there are axis bars moving, then the game sees your controller. Follow the prompts. If the game asks you to roll, then wiggle the joystick sideways and find the axis bar that is moving and click on it as your roll axis. Repeat for the rest of axes. If no axis bar ever moves despite looking at all of the axes and cntrollers, then that's a problem. Maybe unplugging and re-plugging your USB may help. |

the problem is that the game does not support multiple input devices, which is how Logitech decided to make the g940. i got it as an upgrade from my expired saitek x52 and i am regretting this purchase more and more, but i cannot take it back now.

There is an arrow on the controller config setup to switch to the next device.
The game does support multiple input devices. I have seen one person at the starwraith forum post about problems with this Logitech G940. He was not able to setup the buttons on the throttle to work. http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=9589 Last edited by driftdriver: 07-23-2012 at 07:58 AM. |
