Updated the gae using yuplay, seems to work fine after updating.

Now up to 1.0.5.1 and steam is running 1.0.3.2. Yikes. I'm attempting to patch my steam install all the way up to the latest, one patch at a time with the patches from the YuPlay website. I'll post here later with my results.

I was having problems with online games. For me, it wasn't that I couldn't join any of them, its that I couldn't SEE any games to join. After the updates, it works for me now.

I looked at a bunch of files including 45300_install.vdf in teh wings of prey directory under steam/steamapps/common. That file had a version number in it that was 1.0.3.2. At the time I believed that that version number was the current steam version, now I'm not so sure.

Basically, I logged into YuPlay at their website and grabbed all of the patch files from 1.0.3.2 up through 1.0.5.1 and installed each one incrementally on my system.

After each patch I would launch the game. sometimes it would want to download 2mb of something or other, which I allowed it to do. I did not allow it to install the YuPlay downloader / newer updates downloads at any time during this process. I wanted to install each of the updates myself.

when I got up to version 1.0.5.0 I tried it and could see games online. I went ahead and updated to 1.0.5.1 for good measure.

Long story short - you can patch this game manually and Steam is cool with it. As always with this kind of stuff, your mileage may vary....so good luck. Hopefully you won't need it.
