I do not have Shogun 2.
If I buy "Fall of the Samurai", will I be able to play the original Shogun 2 campaign (or something close to it)? Or would I have to get Shogun 2 for that? As awesome as a samurai vs. gunslinger battles are, I also want to play old fashion samurai battles like the ones in Shogun 2. Any word on campaign options like that? |

The original Shogun 2 campaign is only in Shogun 2.

My guess is the original and most if not all of the DLC for it will go on sale when FOTS releases.
So if you want to play the original w/o shelling out a lot of cash, just hold on a bit and you'll have your chance. |

Short Answer: NO
Long Answer: No because FotS is standalone, it is associated with but otherwise entirely separate from Shogun2. You need to buy Shogun2 to play it. |
