How to equip a weapon which is in Cargo?

I have that class 10 cannon in my cargo, is there a way to equip it?

Clicking it while in space make it disappear.
Clicking it while docked sell it and make it disappear.

And the storage cost alot of credits for a starter player.

Any other way?

Right clicking it should move it from your cargo bay and install the weapon for use on your ship. This is assuming you have space to install the weapon. You can only have one laser,and one particle beam weapon installed plus missiles.
