Audio isn't working at all...
Yeah I can't hear anything in-game at all. This kinda ruins the fun of the text-to-speech function of this game. All I get is the Unreal logo's sound and that's it. Anyone know a fix?

Looks like this place is dead, probably won't ever get a reply on a solution to this.

This problem occurs with surround audio devices such as 7.1 Dolby Surround G35 Headset. No matter if you disable surround sound or not, you won't get any sound in the game. Just use stereo speakers or ear phones.

For anyone still having this problem, if you have a soundcard make sure the "channels" are set to the lowest, such as 2. Having my asus dx at 8 channels caused for 0 sound, but lowering fixed the problem.
Hope this helps. |

Change speaker configuration on playback devices to stereo only and it should work.

I had this same problem, and I was able to fix it (I'm using a logitech headset). It involves the drivers your headset is using - try these steps. (Going off of Windows 7)
1. On your volume meter in the bottom right, right click it and choose Open Volume Mixer. 2. Click the Speakers icon. 3. On the General tab, click Properties (the Controller Information should show your headset). 4. Click the Change settings button (you may need to be an admin for this). 5. Click on the Driver tab. 6. Click on Update Driver... 7. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software". 8. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". 9. You should see two results - choose the USB Audio Device and click Next. 10. Restart your computer. The game should now work. You can swap back to the other driver at any time using the same steps. |
