Ipod Touch 2G?

I tried to install Steam Mobile on my Ipod but I always get that message that says

The app steam cannot be installed on the Ipod because it is not compatible with this Ipod.

I'm looking on the requirement and it say IOS 4.0 or later, I got 4.2.1 and it says Ipod 3G is required. Last time my dad told me he bought it for my bday was a 3G one, some stuff told me it was 3G at first but most of the apps that check what type it is all say 2G. I'm guessing steam mobile doesn't support 2G?

So far, this beta does not support older models of ipod/iphone.
It will probably get implemented in the future, surely.

You're right, iPod Touch 2G and iPhone 3G will be supported when the app gets an update.
