Recommend me a good PC gamer.
Hello.
Please recommend me a gaming PC, almost like $3000 or $3500. Just a few things. The CPU from Intel and the GPU from Nvidia. And a 3D monitor. Thanks. |

Don't really need to spend $3000 on a gaming PC, but here you go:
http://techreport.com/articles.x/22104/8 http://www.anandtech.com/show/5196/h...buyers-guide/4 However, why mess about with a piddly $3K? A serious high-end gamer would be looking at something like this: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/guide...ber-2011.ars/3 Let us know once you've built it. |

ASUS VG278H for all ur 27" 120hz/3D viewing needs.
Other than that, 2500K or hell 2600K and however many 580s you want. Or wait till April for Ivy Bridge and Kepler, nvidia's next gen cards. and a Cosmos II for case. Things a beast. |

Didn't specify things like preferred res or wanted amount of HDD space or what it's for(gaming/rendering). So I went with 3gb 580's as they were only $20 more than the 1.5gbs, and a 1TB HDD and should be fine for either/all gaming/rendering.
CPU: Intel 2600k Mobo:ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB GPU(s): 2x EVGA 3gb GTX 580's HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB HDD Case: Cooler Master HAF X Cooling: Corsair H100 PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w Disk Drive: Samsung CD/DVD Burner Monitor : Samsung S27A750D Ya'know, for the insane budget, I really should've included an SSD. However, I can't really justify the high price per GB, and don't know too much about them, so any1 feel free to change whatever up for a better alternative and include an SSD, if the OP wants it. You got some leg room from his $3000-3500 budget. Subtotal is $2897.89. Add $100 for an OS if you need it. I'd wait for Kepler though..jus sayin. That is just stupid. Three GTX 580's will handle PhysX fine there is no need to buy a dedicated PhysX card if you are running a three way GTX 580 machine.
If you have $3000+ then maybe you should consider watercooling. Also I highly doubt that the Nvidia series is releasing this Feb, please would you share were you found that info? What resolution are you planning on playing with? If you are playing at anything below 2560x1600 then there really is no need for anything more then a GTX 580 3GB or ATi/AMD 7970 3GB. If you do plan on purchasing a GTX 580 I recommend a 3GB version as this will help out a ton in games that use MSAA and FXAA e.g. Battlefield 3, Crysis and a heavily modded Skyrim. Here is a 3GB GTX 580: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130655 Or A AMD 7970 3GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125408 Last edited by EdgeofSanity: 01-29-2012 at 09:14 PM. |

Ok sorry for be AFK... Mmmm
The res for me it will be ok with 1080p, I really like more to play games over the 60 and if its posible over the 120 FPS. But yeah, I am going to wait the next Nvidia GPUs... I am waiting the DX 11.1 for the Win 8. The only thing that I really want to do is a SLI... And Just get away of the word: Change or update your game rig, almost like for the next 3 years or the other next win 9 because the ¿DX12?. I dont play BF3 and Skyrim, but Crysis 1 and 2 yes. Metro 2033 yes and well the incoming Metro The Last Light that it will needs a 580 SLI or 590 for 1080p and all max. And yeah a really good water cooling, Two HD it will be ok and maybe another for win 98 LOL. |

Might I ask why one would ever want to have a 1080p mointor on 27''? Sure it's 3D, but really? I'd rather buy a 2560x1440 (I even did, actually) or 2560x1600 on 27''.
Rather have a higher DPI than a lower one, so I limit the 1080p to 24'' for a computer monitor. |
