R:TW works and runs well on my computer but I'm using Vista (32-bit) instead of Seven. And, yes, it does support widescreen resolutions like 1680x1050.
My specs are: - Intel Core 2 Duo e6750 (2.7 GHz) - 2 GB DDR2 RAM - GTX 460 (1 GB) - Windows Vista (32-bit) Last edited by Ekis: 02-08-2012 at 10:43 AM. |

I really have no idea why you're hesitating to play Rome on your computer. This game is pretty much old and requires low specs and that means you can simply run it on your computer without even thinking about upgrading something in it. Just install it and check it out.

it does, I have it running on 7 64bit with 1920x1200, no problem. the only problem is that, as far is I know (have a thread about it here), the multiplayer campaign mod (this one) doesn't work with the steam version. If I'm wrong, pleasae, please (!!!) correct me^^
I have a spare -25% Sega coupon if you want it. It works also with the Rome TW complete Pack, I used one to buy it myself. |

This game doesn't get along well with modern multi-core processors. The framerate in Rome is much worse on my current system than it was on my 2005 computer.
The FPS (during battles)in Rome is actually lower than in Shogun2. Perhaps there is a mod or tweak that fixes this problem but so far I haven't found one. (system: i7 920, 560ti TF, 6GB Ram, Windows7x64) Last edited by Verwandlung: 02-17-2012 at 07:41 AM. |
