I am not sure, but I think Google Chrome gives priority to the tab you are currently viewing. If you're not currently viewing a tab on Chrome, maybe it puts itself in a state of low priority, thus making Firefox seem faster?

Using YT's seek bar freezes my computer entirely.

I am having no problems with any of my four browsers, even when running all four simultaneously:

Google Chrome 16.0.912.77
Firefox 9.0.1
Opera 11.61
Lynx 2.8.7rel.2

Lol I just stopped using firefox because I feel as though it's getting slower with every update (even with all plugins extensions disabled) and have started using opera, so far I love it but miss a little of ff's functionality.

tbh Windows 7 in general is startng to act sluggish for me, not sure why as I always keep everything clean and up to date :S just need a format I guess must be first time in 4-5 years so not all bad.

Firefox leaks memory really badly, but I found a third party program that fixes it so im pretty happy with Firefox now. Chrome sacrifices user friendliness for looking cool. WHY NO FAVORITES MENU?!
