Fullscreen windowed mode?

Is it possible to run X3:TC in windowed mode, but fullscreen? Some games allow you to. I have the PC specs to run it as such.

My google searches brought up some scripts from 2007 but it wouldn't work.

I'm on Win7 64bit

Not fully sure exactly what you mean by this however, I can run it in windowed mode in full screen with just the bottom task bar showing. There is an option to run the game in windowed mode in the graphic settings at the start of the game.

Even in full screen mode it Alt Tab's out perfectly fine.

Some games give you the option of running it in windowed mode without a border allowing you to treat the game as if you where running it in windowed mode (can open other windows over it and alt tab seamlessly) while having it look like it is in fullscreen mode.

As for the OP, I'm not sure but I can check when I get home tonight.

The game doesn't allow it. But in the gameplay options, you can set the game to "run in background" so even if you alt-tab, it keeps running.

Which is what I originally intended with fullscreen windowed. Since I spend half my time googling ♥♥♥♥ or reading forums about X3 (it really is that kind of game, isn't it?) it helps to have the game keep running while you research your next move.

Just make sure that you have docked your ship whilst googling, chances are that somethig may run into you or even an enemy invasion Khaak or Xenon.
