I'm getting this error message after installing the high res texture pack. I've verified game integrity without problems.

Same error here after update and tex pack install. The error is on the launcher only. Launch the game via NMM/SKSE and the game launches and runs fine.

When you launch through SKSE, does the hi-res textures load?

What is skse? I have been getting the same problem as well, even worse now I am getting a screen flutter (as if i am underwater and then not extremely rapidly) and the creatures other than the dragons are glitching hardcore

Click on Skyrim (It's the E drive). Then a screen pops up and you click play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and it will open up the game no errors. Last edited by amberheardishot: 02-07-2012 at 12:26 PM. |

I think it might be connected to my fps, when i am recording in fraps it is locked at 30fps and NOTHING happens but once it goes back upto 120fps its flying cows and moon physics for elk...
![]() Also I am not seeing the texturepacks in the data folder at all Edit: yup it had to do with fps/refresh rate, I dropped my refresh rate to 60hz and it is running just fine now. still dont see the texture packs though Last edited by Eloheim: 02-07-2012 at 12:44 PM. |

I have had that error since the Beta patches. It seems to only happen when Steam is in offline mode and it doesn't do anything. The game runs just fine.

Skyrim Script Extender by Ian Patterson, Stephen Abel and Paul Connelly. Many mods already require SKSE to be installed to run correctly (e.g. SkyUI) and there will undoubtedly be many more mods to come that will need it also.
SKSE allows the game to run many more simultaneious script events at once than the standard game normally allows making for some really elaborate mods. The Nexus Mod Manager can be configured to run SKSE, which in turn also launches Skyrim. N.B. SKSE and NMM do not circumvent the need to have Steam running to launch the game. Also, certain mods (whether SKSE enabled or not) may invalidate your Skyrim Steam achievements. |

I'm getting the same thing. The game works fine but none of my subscribed mods are updating. Is there any way to solve this? I still have no idea how to revert the high-res update.

It has nothing to do with the texture DLC. The launcher isn't connecting to Steam Workshop and downloading the mods you've subscribed to. Rather annoying, really.
