When playing Serious Sam 2 on Steam, the game frequently stutters a bit and then freezes. It doesn't crash, however, because it auto-resumes if I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and then click the Start Task Manager button. I thought it was a driver problem, but it still happens even after I isntalled the latest video & audio drivers (and the latest SS2 patch).
I remember having stuttering/freezing issues with other gams on Steam in the past -- is there another fix I'm forgetting? Thanks, Rob |

The latest patch is already included in the Steam version. Don't try to patch it again as it could cause problems.

I installed from the CD, so I had to use the patch. But the problem remains...

Oh, my mistake. It's the retail version, which I thought ran through Steam like Serious Sam 3. But now I see it has nothing to do with Steam. Sorry for the confusion.
