Is it worth it for 10 bucks?

While it's on sale I'd like to know if I should grab it.

I'm a fan of RTS games. And a fan of the Series... But this game has been far less than stellar in how it's been received. Is 10 dollars a good price point for it?

A 52 metacritic rating isn't inspiring me to take out the wallet, even at this price

It'll be interesting to see if anyone thinks it is worth it for 10 bucks

It has Tages, which is known to be malware. So no, not worth.

Eh, I'm in desperate need for a new RTS game, but I think I'll skip this one and save up for King Arthur II.

This is easily the worst Total War clone ever made and it isn't faithful to the books at all.

Hi,

i think it's worth atleast the 10 dollars. I don't care for Metacritic or something else, i prefer testing it by myself. Also i've encountered no bugs so far.

I have played only the campaign so far, it's nice but you need to do much in short time. It's a bit complicated in the beginning.

It's a bit different compared to other rts games: Armies aren't that important like they are in other games, you need to use a lot of recruitable agents, like in the Total War series but this time during a match and not on a campaign map. You use spies to sign secret treaties with villages or use your assassin to kill enemy agents. Of course you can build armies, but you're not only use them to fight against other armies, you can also arrest some hostile agents with them.
The campaign makes fun so far, the story isn't that great like in the books, but it's ok.

Like i said in the beginning, i think for 10 dollars you can risk it.

(Also sorry for my english!)

There is a Game of Thrones mod for civ 5 at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=437575. Seems to be still working on it but just tried it a bit over the weekend and not bad.

Developers seem to have stopped patching this game and I don't think they're ever going to release a demo or remove the 5 activation limit.

Here's a video of the gameplay:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg8NsgL2lVA

There are a few more videos linked from that, might help you decide if this is a $10 purchase, or if you'd rather wait until it hits $5.

I don't know why people ask stupid questions for every sale instead of taking 3 seconds to check the Metacritic score. A game with such a low score probably isn't worth $0 when there are so many good games out there.

Because Metacritic scores reflect the game on release. Several months after release it may have been much improved.

Metacritic scores mean nothing to me as 50% of the raters are just trolls who dislike the game or are Hammer Legion Members who just rate up the game because they zealously enjoy it.

I prefer my fellow spufers opinions over that shoddy rating system.
