Violence in questioning?

Hey all! I've only been playing about 2 hours now but I thought that even being a clean cop meant you could slap a perp around if he refused to answer a question (say you picked the wrong answer and now he refuses to speak about it again). Is there about where you can do this or is your character a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the whole game?

I'm assuming your on the first desk still (The one where you're still a cop), if that's the case, yeah... the game won't let you go through unless you get it right.

Don't worry though, after that part, you can question however you may want to with anyone. The game doesn't punish you if you get something "wrong" after that, the outcome is still the same.
