Differences between Kursk and Africa

Is it me getting better at the game or does Kursk seem to be generally more responsive? I was playing Africa and got my ♥♥♥ kicked mainly because units wouldn't do what i told them/ tanks would start driving right into enemy tanks instead of shooting etc.

In Kursk at least the first few missions, not only does the game look better it just *feels* better. Tanks are actually listening to me, and stationing themselves the right way, Infantry will actually kill things etc. Was curious if anyone else experienced this, or if it was just because i'm getting use to the game engine?

I think Kursk plays better than Africa. It dose "feel better". It's my favorite. I still have WTF moments in Kursk though.
