The new steam community profile layout is pretty cool!

If you guys haven't noticed, check your steam profiles and look on the ride hand side near 'Actions' they changed the layout it looks nice.

Nothing in my Community works. I click on anything and it does nothing. I can only access people's profiles via my Friend's List and from there, I cannot navigate away from their profiles while inside the community page.

Steam used to be amazing in so many ways, but now it is as bad as Games for Windows. Valve is also following in-suit right behind Activision/Blizzard for stupid decisions also.

If they ever allow us to burn our games onto a disk and circumvent Steam altogether, I will delete this off my computer so quick. Been a loyal user since early 2004 and from seeing what Steam used to be as opposed to what it is now, I am incredibly disappointed.

Well, they took the system offline to update the software which included the new icons. Or he could be responding to Stg's complaint. Not sure.

for the love of god, whoever did modal popup needs to learn css. THERE IS NO REASON to use javascript to position it, or dialog inside it for that mater.

#modalBG {
background: #000000;
bottom: 0;
filter: alpha(opacity=60);
left: 0;
opacity: 0.6;
position: fixed;
right: 0;
top: 0;
z-index: 1
}

Parts of the Steam Community (including the modal) predate the Steam UI update of 2010. Prior to that, Steam used IE to render web pages. A surprisingly large number of Steam users had IE6 installed (possibly because their default browser was Firefox or Chrome so they never bothered to update IE). IE6 has no support for position: fixed, requiring a javascript solution.

Your opacity example is also incompatible with any IE prior to 9.

Looks sweet but I disliked one change. They removed the time and date when you changed names.

Fixable by using filter:, i only briefly looked at element styles in chrome. absolute does same as fixed in IE6 so that would of worked.
