ME2: finally finished, question on dlc and last mission (spoiler)

I only had digital deluxe version which basically gives you a couple items and junk. I was able to download from bioware after redeeming code but now can't connect to Cererbrus to get the items, it says unable to authenticate items or something.

Questions on last mission:
Do the unloyal just get killed off? I took my one unloyal person -- Jack with me and they killed her off so would the same have happened if I put her in another squad?

If I had finished Jack's mission, the last one I had, would the colonists been killed?

And finally, since I hit continue I guess I can't start over now?

I guess the ending was a bit wth (big Reaver human robot out of smushed people? Really?) and I guess I never figured out why this Harbinger guy is taunting me, unless they just like the voice because it was a bit Darth Vader to add to the other references they borrowed. Overall still fun if a bit weird on the story. I didn't find myself using anything but ammo types and cloak as an Infiltrator. Rarely managed team, they were doing better than I was for first half anyway.

The Crew getting killed is a bit more complicated, but not much.

For the different Jobs to fill, you need the right member which also has to be loyal. For the Biotic Barrier bit good choices are Jack or Samara. For the Fire Squad Leader Miranda or others could do. Whenever you choose an inappropriate member or one who is not loyal, someone dies.

As for the WTH ending, that's how Reapers reproduce. They squish an entire civilization into one of them.

There are certain decisions that will always result in people dying.

First off the crew die depending on how many missions you do after getting access to the omega 4 relay. Other than that a great recap on how the suicide mission works is here. http://social.bioware.com/forums/for...5855452-1.html

If a guy dies it may end in a chain reaction of death. I recommend a full loyal team or to look up a chart in internet for decisions on the last mission.

Usually when you click connect again and put in your login info it will connect. It's the auto login that isn't working.

It is possible to keep non-loyal squad members alive, don't use them for any tasks such as going into the vents or fire team leader for example (Miranda is an exception and can't be killed until the final battle).

Don't send non-loyal squad members to escort the crew and don't take them to the final battle or they will die.

WinShep:

Spoiler:

Ensure all squad members are loyal.
Ship fully upgraded.
Do zero missions after collectors kidnap the crew.
Kasumi/Tali/Legion in the vents.
Mordin escorts the crew.
Miranda leader of the fire team.
Jack/Morinth/Samara biotic specialist (the long walk).

Everyone gets out alive, including the whole crew.

If you do badly enought even Shepard can die. And if that happens, THAT save will not be available for import at ME3

Just completed a run through myself.

Imported max lvl character from ME1, Got ALL of my crew back the entire team survived. <3 having them all loyal.

So i have a decent save now for import into ME3.

However.

I cant help thinking "what if"

I had told the judges about what Tali's father was upto! (think back to the mail you get after you finish)

what if

I had sent Legion back to cerberus for them to do w/e they do to stuff.

what if

I had saved the base at the end (at the illusive man's request) instead of removing it from orbit..

The list goes on..

The question is. How many of the above are going to screw me over in ME3?

ferrit I wonder about this too. But Tali would not have been loyal if you condemned her father. I kept the base for Cerebrus as I was hoping for some tech in ME3. I kept Legion too. But I saw an old article that said ME3 is tracking 1000 decisions from the other games so I doubt it will screw players over, just rehash some old stories, maybe plot elements. I don't even know if it's revealed how they will cover if Shepard died in ME2.

That was revealed a long time ago. If Shepard died in ME2 you cannot import the save, Reapers win, game over.
