I have same problem with both games I have on Steam: DotA 2 and The Binding of Isaac.

Here is my copy/paste topic from DotA 2 official forums:

From few hours ago every time I try to enter Dota 2 I get this Steam - Warning.

Steam - Warning
Steam was unable to sync your files for Dota 2 with the Steam Cloud

If you have played this game from another computer, your game settings and/or progress may not be in sync with what is stored in the Cloud. If you play the game now, you may lose those changes or progress.

I tried:

- Checked if Steam Cloud is turned on in Steam settings, it is.
- Checked if Steam Cloud is turned on in Dota 2 properties, it is.
- Verified integrity of game cache, it is alright.
- Noticed that every time I leave Dota 2 my Steam icon shows Dota 2 is syncing without troubles but still every time I try to re-enter Dota 2 I get this Steam warning.

I also noticed that when I am leaving Steam I don't get that Syncing message for few seconds before Steam fully closes.

I play Dota 2 just from this PC, never ever logged into Dota 2 from other place.

Game itself works and I can play but this warning is still really annoying. Anything I can do to fix it?

Btw, count 3 more people with this Sync-ing problem from my topic at DotA 2 forums. ( http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=22128 )

Cloud saves for Skyrim went live, which is causing some load issues which we are investigating. Steam community web pages which ask about cloud storage (like screenshots) may be slow intermittently and cloud uploads/downloads themselves may be affected. We are working to get the load issues under control as fast as possible.

Fantastic to see Skyrim using Steam Cloud though, on the bright-side.

Unless you make lots of saves (like me!)

My saves folder is 0.99GB! That would take hours to upload due to my slow upload speed! I've had to disable steam cloud (I had the same "problem" with Oblivion).

Indeed that is true, it makes making a backup of the saves in general a nightmare.
