How do we adjust the FOV?

I thought there was supposed to be an FOV slider? Where is it?

What name did they give it? I'm not seeing it?

Probably should look through all of the options first before posting. It's called FOV under the Controls.

Under the Controls?

It's not really a control setting? I thought I looked there, actually. But thanks.

Yeah, it is in an odd place. I could see how it's easy to miss.

It's not the first time I've seen devs put FOV sliders in an odd place like "Controls". Is it not technically a video option?

It's there, not sure what the values are though, it's a slider with notches.

Meh, just fire up the game, adjust and check how it looks until you find a value you like for FOV. S'what I did. Weird enough, the headache I was having earlier stopped once I adjusted the FOV a bit. Probably FOV is what's been giving me a headache in a lot of games lately.

Yeah, I was confused about this too. At least it's in there though, as most devs have completely forgotten about FOV these days.

They moved the FOV option to the controls menu so people wouldn't instantly crank the setting all the way, as most tend to do with graphics settings.

Oh lord, this is probably the sad truth. I admittedly do this with really old games,(think the Neverwinter Nights) but I can see this actually being a smart decision from the devs. Less chance of someone complaining about the camera being all whack, when all they did was accidentally max FOV. XD

I actually have my FOV all the way up. Everything was WAY too claustrophobic with anything less.

I'm going to have to turn it up to about halfway, I think. The default FOV is /really/ tight, and the camera being on the left really threw me off at first. Then I hit uh...alt, I think it was, to switch sides. Muuuuch better.

It's [TAB] Kind of annoying after every cutscene it reverts back to the left. At least you don't have to go into a menu to change it back though!

No.
They put it there, because they had to create a 'controls' menu from scratch for the pc version of the game, and could easily put that option there w/o having to mess with any other, pre-pc menu's.

This IS the exact reason as already stated by Remedy on their forums.

PC gamers should know better than this.
