As others have said, no you can't.

The only reason I can think of why someone would want to clear the hours played is that they're either ashamed of how much they have played or they left the game on overnight and want it to be more accurate. I'm by no means throwing any accusations towards the OP either.

I'm guessing someone has a spouse/parent who knows their SteamID that they want to lie to.

Funnily enough, that's kinda an annoyance for me. I hate leaving Steam Games running while I go afk. I like to know exactly how long a playthrough of a game takes and so on. I'm a bit anal when it comes to stats.

In a way, it'd be kinda nice to be able to modify the hours counter, but, mostly, on the other hand, I think it'd end up making them meaningless to anyone else, as you'd have no way of knowing if any other profiles hour counter is true.

LOL Thanks Christ my 9.9 steam rating dropped before anyone noticed it!

Yeah I know what you mean with wanting to have the hours accurate. There was a bug with TF2 ages ago where the process didn't properly kill if you closed the program. I ended up gaining an extra 200 hours because of it.

"How do I reset my playtime?"
"Why would you ever want to do that?"

I love video gamers

I've spent a lot of my time on TF2 idling which is why a person like me would want to reset his play time on TF2. Can't think of any other reason.

That's easy! You open a new account and buy the games you want again. Then you start from zero hours

Play in offline mode. This way hours won't get counted.

I'm glad it can't be deleted.

People need to learn they can't just lie, cheat and deceive their way out of "delicate" situations, no matter how small or irrelevant they are.
