HF not saving settings?

In Homefront, I got all the way to the labor camp in the stadium ... now I'm half way though that and all of a sudden the game is refusing to save my control settings. What gives?

I just want the mouse inverted. But after 2-3 hours' play with the mouse inverted, it is now forcing me to run with it NOT inverted. How do I change this back?

In fact, I played it earlier today with it just fine -- when I want to play it now, it's not working right.

nevermind, I sorted it out. In between playing HF this afternoon and this evening, I played Shank with a gamepad (Saitek p2900). That messed it up. When I took out the wireless dongle, HF worked again -- as well at it works usually, anyway.
