Starting LAN Campaign?
Hey Folks,
how can I setup a Lan game to play the campaign via coop with my GF? We have both a copy of brink, that shouldnt be a problem... Firewall is set up properly and everything should be ready to go... (i suppose )Except for Brink: We're not able to start a lan game - simply because we don't know how.. ![]() Could someone please help us out? (I've searched the forum allready muliple times - but couldn't find any helpful threads)thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english...

okay, we managed it somehow to play on lan.
But we've discoverd something strange: We've created a game via campaign mode and set it to a private game, but we still ended up in a online server (indicated by the servername on the top left on the loading screen; and also we couldn't find the game in the serverbrowser which was set to lan) - until we both downloaded the dedicated server (just downloaded it, not running it or something else). Since then, it created a lan game. I've checked it multiple times and I'm pretty shure there's a connection somehow - but i could'nt figure out how. ![]() Could someone enlighten us?

Basically they broke friends only and lan games in the last update (when they added stat tracking). Everything used to work flawlessly up till then, since then you've needed the dedicated server files even if you had no plans on running a dedi.
Or at least thats what my friend and I (and many others) experienced. |
