The upcoming "community language pack" will include translated subtitles but no voiceovers, correct?
I took a look at Dear Esther's game files after finishing it and noticed that most (if not all?) voiceovers are right there in the form of MP3s. My question is, would I be allowed to record the voiceovers for the upcoming German subtitles and share them? Is this possible? Or are translated voiceovers on their way anyway? Greez Rob

No idea, but I do hope that any actors used for any foreign language voiceovers are as excellent as Nigel Carrington.

Interesting question. De current English voiceover is also part of the experience so I wonder if it will make a difference. In the Netherlands most of the movies are subtitled with the original voices. In other countries like Germany it is often dubbed over. But I do think there should be an optional add-pack (community made) to hear it in a native language. Hiring a professional voice-over would be great ofcourse. What do these guys costs per hour I wonder?

I'm not sure if it will be possible to change the files for the VO. And I am very pessimistic that it will in any way better the experience. The subtitles are enough, in my opinion. At least I wouldn't like another VO, the original one is nearly perfect.
