Wolfenstein 09 PB Support

I've been trying to setup Wolf 09's multiplayer just to have a game with a friend.
It seems the update server can never be reached.
And after entering a pre-made server I get kicked after 1 minute for no packet flow from pb.

Now I've tried to manually update it but PBSetup doesn't include Wolfenstein anymore

Has anyone been able to fix this issue?

Is it possible at all to host my own server with pb enabled?

I contacted PunkBuster and got: "Even Balance is no longer supporting PunkBuster for Wolfenstein. You will need to contact Activision/id Software directly for support regarding PunkBuster."

And I tried to contact Activision but it seems the support website just takes me in circles through the FAQ (which no one has posted about).

So if the game doesn't support PB anymore how are there still servers running with it enabled?

PB is no longer supporting it, as in they are no longer updating the software. You can still have the software active on a server though. From what I can recall, there was ever only one single PB ban on file for the game.

If you are getting a no packet flow, then there is a problem with PB itself. I would suggest using their program to diagnose and correct your PB issues.

Once this is done, enable PB in the options and you should be good to go.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried that and test completes without error.
I then tried every server availible and got kicked for no packet flow from them all.

Is their an additional incoming port that needs to be open?

Can anyone confirm that they can join a wolfenstein pb server fine?

I can confirm it. Was just on our server a bit ago and it was running perfectly. PB is enabled on our server. If all the tests completed fine, then that means your PB ports are open and it is talking to PB as it should.

If you like, PM me your email address and I will zip my PB folder for you and you can just use my PB files. I know they are the latest before they stopped supporting the game.

Unfortunately the .rar seems to be corrupt..
(says 3mb on site but only 949kb downloads,I tested it a few times)

When you have a moment to spare could you please re-upload?

On another note I played in a server for a while left at the start of the next match and no money or stats got saved?

Losing gold is a known bug in the game, sometimes stats as well. Never got fixed, nor will it ever. They dropped support for the game a couple months after it was released. The developer was fired right after the game came out. We never got the SDK tools we were promised either. The website is now gone as well.

I can assure you, after dealing with these guys for years, they honestly could not care less. ETQW wasn't even that old before they dropped the stats server and all servers were no longer ranked. Activision is just plain evil.
