i'm only interested in playing the singleplayer so if mp is affected its not really an issue.

You are obviously dealing with a pirated version I suppose.

You can just make an offline profile and don't have to auto connect.

But if you want to disable it completely download a file called xliveless I believe.

If you search for GTA ENB Series, it has the file you need.

I've used it completely removes the GFWL feature.

Pirated version? wtf are you talking about, why would i even talk about that here on steam forums?

No, not a pirated verion, i own all the RF games on steam (+ 600 other games....) and i consider GFWL being a crime against gamer! its the devils work!
seriously though, too many times have i lost savefiles in GFWL forced games because of this PoS drm removed them. When i played GTA IV (legit bought on steam FYI) i was able to remove GFWL completely with some tweaking. I had to do this in order to play certain mods. This also disabled the MP part, sadly, but i was mostly in it for SP anyway.

Well smarty pants you should know how to disable GFWL if you have done it with GTAIV.

It's a universal application that runs the exact same way for every game.

Try it, you will see how it works.

"smarty pants"

yeah so i got it disabled, but i cannot save any games without gfwl so it was pointless. i guess this is one of those titles where you have to put up with this crapwarez. :/
