Question Cannot start the Game

Hi there,

i am unable to play this Game - starting the Game using Steam shows me that i am starting v1.2 - but then it crashes with:

Can you open Launch.log and paste it here, found in Documents\My Games\The Ball\UDKGame\Logs

I suspect a driver issue or so, since it dies on D3D before the game has really done something yet.

-Try different video card drivers.
-There was a DirectX installer that came bundled with the game and that popped up during installation. Make sure this one runs even if you are sure you got the latest DirectX. Some versions of DirectX add extra files.
-You could try forcing it to run in DirectX10 and although this is not super well implemented, it should run. Go to your Documents\My Games\The Ball\UDKGame\Config folder, open UDKEngine.ini in notepad, and find the line AllowD3D10=False, change it to True. We don't officially support D3D10 so no idea if it'll even work.

Well - i am using the latest std-drivers from ati - so . .. .

i'll try the dx10 thing, but it doesnt not sound nice
