Troubles setting dedicated 1.6 cs server

Hi guys!

Well, i want to set up a dedicated steam cs 1.6 server but i can't do it...

I downloaded and installed HLdsupdatetool, it downloaded the version 46, i think. Then i tried entering the command

HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game cstrike -dir .

to install cs 1.6. I did this on DOS while on this directory
cd C:\Program Files\Valve\HLServer

I got an error, something like "failed to set working directory, errno 22 "invalid argument" "

Can someone help me?
Thanks

looks to me you are installing it where hldsupdatetool is, and you must always specify a free directory for it to download the server files ex: -dir c:\server\hlds

He did. "-dir ." means "in the current directory". That's perfectly valid.
