so is there online highscore ranking or not?
in some reviews, i read that for "online gaming", both players have to have the same song.
that's fine and understandable if you play live against one another. but what about highscore rankings? does something like in audiosurf exist, where highscores of a gazillion players/tracks are stored in a database and you can compete for any given song? There are Highscores depended on track length but not for specific songs.
The reason for that is that the enemy-pattern in the songs can be different depending on the used file format ( flac, ogg, mp3 etc. ) and the bitrate of the songs. No idea how the guys of audiosurf are handle that. Maybe they just ignore that even they know that there might be differences in gameplay, or the load the blockpattern for each track from the servers depended of the track title... maybe im wrong with that, but thats what i recall from reading it sometime here... |
