Games that had huge potential, but were squandered by devs/publishers?

Title says all.

For me, i would have to say WH40K : Space Marine.

A good single player, interesting multiplayer (until the nerfed update).

THQ practically ripped the little online community of this to shreds by the DLC's that ruined it all.

Could have been longer and more challenging, but no, hats!

RAGE should have been a huge game because it's fantastic, but id dropped the ball when they ignored the PC market. Lesson learned, I say. And it's still a great game.

First one that comes to mind is Mafia II. Apparently it was originally a far more ambitious project but was scaled back for some reason.

Vexx. This title could have challenged Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank for platformer superiority. Some of the levels were fantastic. There's just lots of fine tuning that has yet to be done as well as a storyline that wasn't written in one night.

Agree with most of these, aspecially about EYE.It could have been a lot better. Not to mention Brink and CNC:4
CNC was a great dissapointment from my perspective, they got rid of the most interesting part, the big battles and good graphics and went for a cartoony look(if i remember well)
