So instead of running at about 80% of everyone, I'm running around about 85%/96% (I have no idea how the mechanics of TF2 work) with a decently faster reload speed and one rocket at all time? Is there a particular reason for that?

I don't really see the point. A 5% speed increase would be barely noticeable and besides that the Soldier's slow movespeed is a class limitation meant to be overcome by strategic use of rocket jumping.
As for the 25% faster reload speed, by giving up 3/4 of your clip to begin with you effectively negate any benefit this might create. |

Ok, well I see that most of you have some problems with my idea, but no real suggestions on how to fix/balance it.
I will try to mess with the stats a bit and make it better, but I will still want some input. |

As a Soldier you want to have people close so you can maximize damage, especially if you're going to be using a shotgun. Regardless, popping someone into the air just to shoot them with the shotgun is much less effective than simply shooting another rocket at them, which is why I think it's pointless. |
