Update 1.02 out now.

The first update (v1.02) for Alan Wake on Steam has hit fixing numerous issues. We're working as hard as ever trying to get all the bugs nicked from the game so you all can have a care-free game experience. If the issue you're having is not included in release notes below, fear not as we're looking into more reported issues for future updates.

You can see the full patch roadmap here:

• Real Traditional Chinese translation for added PC strings
• Fix that the Developer Video Commentary volume is more sensible
• Fix that localized cinematic audio volume is at correct volume and adjustable
• Fix that controller vibration works (note that it's disabled by default)
• Fix that blur occasionally got re-enabled even if -noblur command line option was specified
• Added "-rigidcamera" command line option for those who are sensitive to the default mouse/camera controls

Wow, i wanted to play this game since it was originally announced for pc. When i first played it, i was a little disappointed, but

Added "-rigidcamera" command line option for those who are sensitive to the default mouse/camera controls

this made my day, going to get on the game right now.

-rigidcamera seems to remove the mouse smoothing. Mouse acceleration still clearly present.

[Please test it for yourself before denying this. Move your mouse from A to B on your mouse pad slowly and notice the distance the camera moves. Then move your mouse from A to B very fast.]

after i activated -rigidcamera the mouse lag was gone. But instead the screen stutters when moving the camera, like it is moving from point to point on a grid.

rigidcamera feels perfect to me now. Though I'm sure that there will be widely varying opinions here.. and it does seem they are still thinking of other things to try.

Thanks for the patch. I've got it running fairly well now.. at least to a playable, fun level.

Nice! Rumble works properly now, that was the only issue I had with the game.

Sadly this does nothing to remove the mouse acceleration. It seemed to remove the mouse smoothing but mouse accel is definitely still there.

Hopefully they figure out a solution soon.
