Skipping bomber/fighter animations

Is it possible ? Im so sick of waiting 3 or 4 minutes watching my own or incoming bombers. Even speed it up 10x anything.. I just turned a game off as all it wasbombing and in 1hour id made about 4 turns.. its just too long.

Yea, I agree with that. It's nice in your first game, second game, maybe 10th game. But when you are playing Civ5 for a year, you'll hate it - especially the old-school bombers are slow as hell.

Sorry, I don't know how to disable it.

I'm really hoping they change this in the Gods & Kings expansion. With the already lengthy wait between turns in the late game, the aircraft animation waits are sometimes enough to make me quit games as well.

Why not just switch to strategic mode when you're about do a lot of bombing? Actions happen instantaneously in strategic mode, and you can just switch back afterwards.
