connecting steam account stuck !

Hi ive got a big problem with connecting to my steam account.
It stucks and then not responding. I need help with this because i cant play counter strike source. Ive tried everithing: reinstall steam,renaming .blob file.
Firewall is ok
Ive got windows 7 64 bit please guys help me !

Please give a better description of what connection issue you are having. When does it happen. What messages appear. etc.

When I try connect to steam account it stucks it just connect.... a then not responding

Try deleteting everything from the Steam folder EXCEPT steam.exe and the steamapps folder. DO NOT delete the steamapps folder as that stores all your games. Start Steam and see if that helps.

try deleting the winui.gcf from the steamapps folder.
make sure steam is not running when you delete.

if you dont take a month to post back you would have remembered you posted you have windows 7 x64 in your original post.

"does not work" , old info and taking a month is not really helping yourself.

Question Same

I too just recently was not able to log into steam, i am also running a windows 7 64bit.
I have tried alot of fixes (reinstall, deleting crap in the steam folder etc..)
Please Halp

I've got the exact same problem you have going on but on Windows Vista Sp2.

Connecting to account.... Then shortly after... Steam is no longer
responding. So the main steam library window won't even pop up
after login and the program freezes.

I cannot resolve the problem (yet) either...

Like steam,

still working on it....

I had the same problem right click run as administrator allow changes on hard drive it fixed my problem hope I helped.
