Servers down again?

Hey, I've been playing STO for about 2 weeks now, liked it enough to buy the retail version from Amazon, etc.

But they really need to get on top of the server reliability thing. Login server seems to be down, again. Forums are down, again.

Ergh.

Mmm, this is the first time I have not been able to log in (although I have only been playing for 2 days) - I was just booted from play and cannot get back in again.

I had been playing for two or three hours. I didn't lose connection until an hour after you posted this.

According to the website FAQs, they only have the one server:

Quote:
Q: Are there PvP, PvE and RP rule set servers?
A: There is only one Star Trek Online server. PvP is restricted to designated systems in space and through our PvP queue system.
I'm glad it is free2play - I'd hate to be paying a subscription if they only have one server.

Cryptic should really increase their server capacity and work on stability.

What the hell is going on with this game, star trek online. Every single night for the last 2 weeks "server not responding". Thats if you get to log in. Do they want people to play or not?

Cryptic is in need of some common sense, that and the fact that perfect world, which owns cryptic is more interested in putting stupid things on the cryptic store for incredibly high prices, everything else is not a big priority it seems.

Haven't had any issues logging in at all except for Saturday (or was it Sunday?) night when there was some snafu. In fact, put in a solid two hours last night, EST. Where are you located? I'm in the Northeast.

I can never play PvP because no one ever gets on it. Just how many people play this game?
