Fallout 3 - Creating the perfect wastelander.

Hey guys,

I played through fallout about a year or so ago (yet to finish new vegas for some reason) and I want to play through ending with my specials on 10 and my stats on 100, anyone get a guide or a link to a guide which'll tell me how... I'm pretty sure it's possible but I'm too lazy to do the math.

I have GOTY so no issue with expansions.

I already know how to get special, at level 28 you get a perk called almost perfect that bumps your specials to 9, you then should get all the bobbleheads

EDIT: this is old, the level cap is 30 now right? since Broken Steel?

The level cap is 30 with Broken Steel installed, yeah.
Also, there's about 25 skill books per skill in the game if you're willing to go hunting for them. With Comprehension, that's a free 50 points each in every skill if you're willing to go hunting.

I lack the patience to be honest, but with 10 int (20 skill points per level) and the educated perk (an extra 3) that's near enough 690 skill points... that should be plenty

Not going to worry about unarmed, sneak or explosives, but I'll try to get as close as I can

If you wait until level 30 to take the "Almost Perfect" perk, it raises all your stats to 9.

If you start with Int 9, grab the Intelligence bobblehead to raise it to 10 and hold off on the rest of the stat-increasers until level 30 you can get 10s in all scores and your high Int will have granted you a lot of skill points.

I got all of my skills to 100 without even planning my skill point distribution out. I just planned out my SPECIAL and perks, went hunting for skill books, and all my skills were 100 by level 26'ish. And I didn't even use the Comprehension perk. This guide has a great starting point and guidelines for creating the perfect character. The Fallout Wiki is also a great companion for finding and keeping track of those skill books.
