my name is weird

all my friends are named what their name is on steam, however my name doesnt appear. i get "player 35492" or another random number all the time. sometimes its 1000 and then its 86999.

how do i fix it

go to tavern and change it from there for a small fee

maybe you have some unsupported characters in your steam community name

my friends name is ljomi <3 peelz.
how is / not supported?
and boats, its not the name of a character. its my name.

Its common not to support /. You can't use it in file names because it denotes a new directory or subdirectory.

When I play DD I also get a steam name of "Player (then some random numbers)". My real steam name only shows up if i host a game then it will show it in the name of the server. Anyone know how to fix this? please! Thanks.

P.S. My steam name does have a # in it, but i dont think that is a problem.

Change your steam name. Only alphabet & number.
