Will there be old games of the series available on steam?

I really can't start half my old games on win xp, vista or 7. That's because of some problems I don't even know how to fix, I could install win 98 and try to play them again, but that'd be really wrong since there are probably some fixes from the actual developers. I was wondering if the old games will ever be released with said fixes.

I just came here to ask the same thing. I have a sudden nostalgic urge to replay TR2. I have CDs of TR1 through to Chronicles sitting on my shelf, but they're for Mac OS 9, so they're completely useless to me now, apart from as museum pieces. I'm amazed the old TR games aren't going cheap on STEAM; they have plenty of other older games.

I'd like to see Tomb Raider 1-5 available on Steam. I probably played the original five Tomb Raider games more than any other game I've owned. I loved those games. You can get them on disk, and they do work on modern operating systems. Maybe they'll eventually make their way to Steam.

TR1 is the easier to play using Glidos (a third party program costs $10 bucks) but makes extreme easy to play original one in XP, Vista or W7 (both x86 and x64)

Last week I tried to play fronm TR2 to TR5 in W7 x64 (with the patch) and just TR2 and TR3 worked for me.

TR4 and TR5 keyboard was laggy.

I used Chronicles provided patch.

Anyways I wish you better luck than me.... Some players report that works flawless

GOG released Tomb Raider 1+2+3 pack (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tomb_raider_123), which costs $9.99, with this games working on Windows XP and newer systems.

All down to opinion. Glidos is pretty good overall. Especially if you don't get it just for TR1.

I ran Chronicles on my XP box fine, but I haven't had a chance to try it on my Win7 box. Angel of Darkness runs perfectly fine tho.
