Mouse look problems

My mouse look has started acting strange. It constrains the field to a few millimetres and constantly drifts upwards. I only have the ability to look freely if I am moving. I am playing via steam and my mouse works fine in other games and on the desktop.

Any suggestions would be most helpful. I thought about reinstalling the game but I cannot locate my savegames to backup.
