Exclamation Flashlight in Half Life 2 not working

Hi my problem is that i've just updated my Nvidia Video Card, and when i try to use the flashlight on Half Life 2 games Ep1 and Ep2 looks like its not there somehow doesn't lights the dark walls on Episode1 in the Lowlife Chapter its only visible on fragments of buildings or barrels. Is this a bug from my video card?
How do i fix this?
My video card is an Nvidia 7300GT series.

I use a GeForce 6150SE and have this in all games except for HL1, CS:S and Ep2. Even L4D2, however I still notice 'flashlight lag'.

I had the same trouble.

I was running Nvidia's latest ("301.42-desktop-winxp-32bit-english-whql.exe")for my 7300GT card and no flashlight - just a barrel , Alex's eyes and a grate - the rest black.

I went back to "296.10-desktop-winxp-32bit-english-whql.exe" with the same result.

"285.58-desktop-winxp-32bit-english-whql.exe" fixed whatever Nvidia broke in those "updates" and my flashlight now works as you would expect.

Thanks Nvidia.
