Can't run the game

I dont know why, but i tried to play SMB a today and it closed almost immediately. Didnt even get to the loading screen. An error message pops up and says the application requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Anyone know why this is?

Try this:

1. Right click on super meat boy in steam -> properties -> local data -> verify integrated game cache files.

Does not help?

2.Go to the folder steam\steamapps\common\Prerequisites
and install DXSETUP and vcredist_x64 or vcredist_x86 (depends on what system you have)

Oh and the funny thing is, Super Meat Boy worked for me fine, but suddenly the game just doesn´t start anymore. I tried everything from the Internet and nothing just nothing helps. The game is just broken for me and I have to wait for whatever a wonder to make it work again...

€: I just figured it out for me, I had to download xinput9_1_0.dll from http://www.m3fe.com/content/xinput and put it into the Super Meat Boy folder and not it works, another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ issue caused by the existence of Xbox360 controllers.
