Has STEAM had a big sale since XMAS 2011?

Has Steam had a big sale since XMAS 2011? Or is it just a bunch of weekend deals and mid week madness?

From what I've observed, I haven't seen any big sales...just a bunch of mid week madness and weekend deal...come on Steam, bring on some sick deals before the summer event!

there's usually an Easter sale isn't there?
I hope there's at least a good daily/weekend/midweek before next weekend. I has spring break and I need something epic to play.
SR2 kinda flopped. Bad port.

Answer: No.

Why: Coupons. Which just expire 3 days ago. The only things that we can expect before the Summer Sale is the Square-Enix, Ubisoft and EA Publishers Weeks. Aside from these, there is no clue what Steam can do in that time period (which include the Spring Sale, if it ever gonna happen).

There is always Midweek Madness deals and Weekend Deals on Steam, along with the Daily Deals by the way.

Not time yet. Summer is the next big sale if Steam stays true to past history. Though EA, I think it is, had a week long sale a couple of weeks prior to the major Steam Summer sale. Guess they didn't want to associate with the peasant developers during the summer sale. With the whole Origin thing though, EA may not even have a Steam sale this year.

Summer is definitely the next big sale. They might have something for Easter. July 4 they usually have something good. Halloween is also another nice one.

Don't ask Steam to make massive sales all the time. I'm pretty sure the publishers have to agree on the sales as well anyways.

They have great deals already.

They should just drop the prices permanently.

Eh just be patient, there'll be a big one at summer and if you've money to spare you'll get enough to do you a while. We already have daily deals, midweek deals, weekend deals, random deals and random week long sales. I think that's more than enough in between the major sales and that's not even factoring in the deals you get for both retail and digital copies of games you can get elsewhere that activate on Steam. There's really no need for any more deals. If there's nothing but sales then there will be no more sales as things will just be permanently dropped in price making things less special.

The biggest sale events are the Summer and Winter sales.

We might get some developer/publisher in between, but it's not guaranteed. So the daily deals, midweek madness, and weekend deals are the only other sales on right now.

I agree. That way they can go bankrupt.

I don't understand where do people get all the time to play all the sales/indie bundle games. I'm almost regret buying all the indie bundles since Xmass and some games on steam sales since i won't be able to play all of them and i can't focus just on one game until i finish it, since i jump between games (i tried almost every game from bundles, completed none).
