Installing TF2 huds on an iMac

First post, hurrah!
(sorry in advance if this has been asked before)
I recently got an iMac, and I can't find the steamapps folder to install anything for TF2 D:
As in:
Where on the iMac does the steam folder go?
Help?

the steam maps folder is in the library folder.

on the top, click go, then press alt and you will see the library folder
