Its a really good game, can be confusing at times though but theres PLENTY to do in this game.
As for the price, yeah thats a bit odd.. i imagine they either forgot about it or Square doesnt want to touch the price. Have to wait for a sale to get it cheaper. |

I'll buy it when it's $5 or less.

Try the demo on Steam. I left it not being impressed. I would say $2.50 is a better price for it. Even $5 is too much.

if anyone cares, the game actualy used to be 29.99. For some reason, the past 2 years, it's been going up 10 bucks every year. It hit 49.99 again last november. It's too bad, i've been waiting for it to hit 10 bucks for me to jump.

The pricing on Steam itself for this has been odd to say the least, presumably at Squeenix's direction. However, the retail version can be activated on Steam. So like Zloth said, look on Amazon, Ebay, or your bargain bin of choice for a copy at a much better price than currently on Steam.
As for the person that played the demo, this is a game that should have never had one. The battle system has a lot of complexity, and a lot of your characters' capabilities depend on how you have developed them through the game and arranged them going into battle. That leaves two options for a demo: something totally incomprehensible to a new player or something watered down and boring. I never played the demo, but I gather it fell into the latter category. |

Looks like the decimal point is in the wrong place. Pretty sure I picked this up during a Steam Christmas sale for $5 a couple of years ago.

I think it is a pretty decent game. It got a bad wrap because of technical difficulties on the Xbox 360 version that shouldn't be an issue with the PC version.
I think it had an interesting story and passable gameplay. That being said I wouldn't pay more than $15 it on the PC since that is the going rate for the 360 version. $10-15 is more than fair I would think. Its not THAT bad of a game. If it was called "Final Fantasy: The Last Remnant" I am sure its reviews would have been much more forgiving, as they are with all FF games. Still kinda wierd seing the MSRP on Steam ($50) is more than the physical edition's MSRP on Amazon ($40), and even when 50% off on Steam the physical edition, activatable on Steam, still costs less. |
