my game doesnt want to start,help me

i buy nba 2k12 and he doensn't want to start,when i turn on nba only i see is black window and then turned off

I'm having the same issue. I saw another thread about this and tried all of the solutions in that thread and still nothing has worked for me. I've done everything I can think of but nothing is still working. Steam support is, as usual, taking forever to respond to my ticket.

There is a thread that had some good information and some people where able to get the game to work from what is posted there, but sadly I have not

I had same problem, but start game in w95, or w98 compatibility mode worked for me. Also try to allow all CPU cores in running processes.
