Just noticed this deal as well, seems sweet but...

...Can you activate it on Steam?

I'm pretty sure the answer is 'No' since it's an EA/Origin game and nowhere does it say 'requires Steam' or 'Steamworks' but I would love confirmation.

£4.49 is a great price for this but I can't have any more DD clients on my system, I just can't!

It needs a very basic client called GameStop Now, I believe. I think that's what Impulse use.

No. That was only for pre-order on PC, I believe. On PS3, you can buy the original as DLC.

Yes, the consoles got The Complete Edition(both games) and for a very limited time The Complete Edition for PC was a pre-order exclusive only on Origin. On launch day it was no longer available for purchase even from Origin.

Showing their lack of understanding of the gaming market and short shortsightedness they foolishly refuse to sell the first game as DLC.
