Old Crosshair + Cube Throwing

Is there any way to get the old Portal 1 crosshair back?
I know the Portal gun actually shows the information of the last placed portal, but the crosshair was far more effective.

I also suppose it was removed because of the white gel, so the calculations weren't right on the fly. But surely, someone must know the answer.
The current Crosshair doesn't show ANY information at all.

And also, is there a console command for throwing cubes like in Portal 1?
Something like +throw.
I just know +attack isn't, because it shoots portals when you type it.

Nope, and nope.

I'd like to hear if there is/was a way to do so...but AFAIK there isn't...

you can't throw cubes because it leads to glitches and ability to skip some parts of levels (IMO thats stupid as portal is a game that should have more than one was to complete each level, if you are good enough you can spin and throw a cube, othersiws....)
