Input not supported (monitor)

I more than likely need a much newer computer, but I just finished downloading portal on steam and when I click to play I get input not supported. Wha? This system was bought in 2007, and about the only recent games it can play are Bej 3.

You are lucky, while i tried to figure out how your monitor is an input device (of course it is not, but it has trouble with the input from your computer) i found an existing thread about your issue.

And this is how google saved two problems with one search. True story!

I need a new computer, i can't even get into the Nvidia control panel without it crashing. Oddly when a friend installed retail portal on here last year (or two) ago it COULD run, albeit VERY laggy.
