Steam Achievements for PC version
I wonder why Ubisoft didn't bother even to include the achievements from the console HD version to the Steam version.
I would think it is not that big of a change to be done to the code to include the new achievements. Anybody from Ubisoft care to comment on this here at Steam forums? Such a great game, Ubisoft needs to give Michel Ancel all the resources he needs to make the sequel. BG&E is one of the best games I've played in a long time. So thanks Michel and his team! |

For one, the Steam version was released years before the HD console version was even announced. On the other hand, they probably rather port the HD version and, more importantly, sell it for $15€ than put work into old code of a game that is sold for $5€. It’d be easier and more profitable, and we all know Ubisoft love money.

I guess that since DF did it with Psychonauts they could do it as well but yeah,I agree with what jello said.

The difference is that Ubisoft is a completely soulless corporation that only cares about profitability, where Double Fine actually cares about their games. Unless Ubisoft is convinced that adding Steam Achievements will boost sales (which they probably wouldn't), then it won't happen.
